Hey Beauties

@zarcosmetics were sweet enough to send us two of their palettes to try out. Check out our first impressions below and check out our giveaway at the end of this post.

Pigmentation pigmentation pigmentation
We can’t get enough of these stunning palettes!

In the nude:
This palette has something for  everyone, it offers versatility, pigmentation and an affordable price tag.

💄The palette comes with 16 shades 8 matte and 8 shimmer which each seem to coordinate with each other perfectly.

💄You are able to achieve looks that are both everyday friendly and full on glam with this palette, which is great if you need to transition your makeup on the go.
Sidenote you get a large mirror which is really helpful

💄The matte shades are on the drier side but definitely do blend well and if your eyelid does tend to get a bit oily then this works out just fine for you, if not prime your lid accordingly.

💄The shimmers are my favorite, buttery and pigmented and the application is seamless.

💄I did experience some fallout but nothing that was not manageable with a little powder.

Pigmentation: 5/5
Blendability: 4/5
Fallout: 3/5
Texture: 3/5 (mattes)
Texture: 4/5 (shimmers)

💄Overall this is a great palette, the colours are unique and definitely fit well together. They offer great looks and give you that autumn vibe which I really like.I hope you find this helpful.
Sidenote2: The packaging is really cute and all the shades have names!

Eyeconic palette:

The eyeconic palette is every undecided girls dream! And let’s face it when it comes to makeup we can tend to want things arranged a certain way.

💄The palette offers 12 shades in a magnetic palette for your customization, 9 mattes and 3 shimmers.

💄I find it allows you to dabble in a bit of colour while still keeping true to your inner neutral girl.

💄There definitely is consistency with the products as each have a similar textures and application.

💄The packaging once again is outstanding, sturdy and compact which makes it perfect for traveling and comes with a generous size mirror.

Pigmentation: 5/5
Blendability: 4/5
Fallout: 3/5
Texture: 3/5 (mattes)
Texture: 4/5 (shimmers)

Giveaway:

We have 3 EyeSlay Palettes up for grab, to enter:

Do you have a hard time finding a casual outfit that's still totally chic yet comfy?!?

Look no further, we have the perfect outfit inspo for you guys.

We've gone with a bell sleeve theme, as we all know it's really been in the spot light recently.

Leah's outfit:

With summer in full bloom it’s become harder to keep up with the full glam standard, so here are some full proof ways to be casual but still chic.

This white and blue stripped dress has become such a staple in my closet because of its versatility it goes with just about anything!
Whether I’m on a brunch date or a big night out gurrl.. it pulls through! It is a 100% cotton and keeps you cool in the Durban humidity.

My heels meet every requirement of staple- trendy, comfortable and neutral and a must have in any fashion friendly closet. I honestly could walk a mile in these block heels.

As the saying goes life has to be accessorized but I try to keep it simple because sometimes to much is just to much.

Dress -Woolworths
Heels- Truworths
Chain- Mr price
Watch- Guess
Ring- Pandora

Christelle's outfit:

Every once in a while a trend comes along that's super simple to wear and extremely flattering on all body types, it's so versatile that you'll never want to let it go.

Yes you've guessed it!!! The off the shoulder bell sleeve ensemble that leaves you looking and feeling like a bohemian goddess.

The universally flattering neckline is continuing its victory lap for summer, available in new styles, colors, silhouettes and much more.

There's an amazing range of off the shoulder tops available for all shapes and sizes.

The embroidered top I've chosen to wear is super elegant but also easy to dress up or down.

I've gone with pink fluffy block heels to spice it up for a lunch date but it can be just as easygoing with a pair of flats.

My white high waisted jeans serve me well for comfort as well as style.

My outfit all together is perfect for many occasions because it can be spicy or it can be played down to suit the occasion.

Such an amazing artist, with an eye for modern photography he captures the essence of the feminine fashionista

The shoot itself was super fun, with the extremely talented as well as humble @capture_squares his helping hand and right hand girl @jaitheexplorer was super amazing with a great eye for unique shots.

He overall captured the idea we were going for and showcased our outfits excellently.

He's amazing to work with, as he directs you with the aim of the perfect shot.

Give him a follow @capture_squares to see  more of his unique work.

Ndalo Pictures and Mzansi Magic are proud to announce that a local version of Project Runway is about to grace South African television screens.

Ndalo Pictures, a new subsidiary company of South African media entrepreneur Khanyi Dhlomo’s Ndalo Media, has successfully secured the rights to produce Project Runway South Africa. The essence of Ndalo Pictures is about captivating and positively impacting audiences through the creation of exceptional content and ideas, just like this one.

The focus of the hit US reality television series is to give aspiring fashion designers a chance to compete for a big break into the industry.

And right now, there’s a heady flurry of preproduction activity at Ndalo Pictures and their production partners Rapid Blue as they gear up to bring the first local version of the series to Mzansi Magic on DStv in July this year; in association with 4th STREET Wines, Edgars, TRESemmé, Menlyn Park Shopping Centre and Lexus.

“South Africa has impressive design talent that is absolutely ready for an international show like this,” says Dhlomo. “It’s engaging, informative, enlightening and entertaining. It’s about talent, about mentorship, opportunity, and pushing creativity past all boundaries … we’re incredibly proud to be able to bring this show to our shores.”

Already renewed for Season 17 in the United States, Lifetime’s Project Runway has become an international sensation. The fashion design contestants compete with each other to create garments restricted by time, materials, and theme. Designs are judged by a panel, and designers are eliminated until the few left standing prepare a complete fashion collection for New York Fashion Week, which determines the winner.

In the South African version, the finalists will find themselves preparing for the 2019 Paris Fashion Week in February 2019. With 4th STREET Wines as the headline sponsor, Edgars will be sponsoring apparel and beauty, TRESemmé the official hair care sponsor for Project Runway South Africa, Menlyn Park Shopping Centre the venue, and Lexus to be the exclusive luxury auto marketing partner.

“Project Runway has done well internationally. We are excited to have the local version on Mzansi Magic. As a channel we have successfully introduced scripted content and reality formats into the market. Project Runway SA will add value and variety to our content proposition.” says Reneilwe Sema, Director of Local Entertainment Channels at M-Net.

It’s all systems go … so if you’re dreaming about a big break in fashion design and you can sew up a creative storm, make sure you enter.

Don’t miss the opportunity to be a part of Project Runway SA.

Stay tuned for call to entry details on the 26th February 2018.

La'Von Frank has become a familiar face on our Instagram recently. We seriously dig her effortless style , we couldn't wait to get details on her everyday style.

La'Von is a gorgeous 28 year old who hails from Durban, although her dream city to live in would be Cape Town. She currently works in the construction field as a Project Lead Document Controller. #Girlboss

However, her passion lies in the fashion and beauty industry and she would love to be a brand ambassador or maybe even a model one day.

Here style alternates between very casual, chic and a sneaker to sexy, classy and heels. Her main focus is comfort and confidence. She believes in the mantra "You only look as good as you feel, no matter what you're wearing."

This beauty recently got married to the love of her life, her wedding was a spectacular event and we included some pictures below.

Let's get into the interview....

Your staple clothing item is?

The perfect jeans that fit in all of the right places.

The one thing you will let yourself splurge on is?

Make-up
Favourite places to shop at?
Has to be Cotton-On and Factorie.
At the moment, are there certain trends/styles you are loving/hating?
Absolutely loving the straight cut long bob. Also more natural and dewy makeup for summer. The bandeau tops are also a cute trend, we called them boob tubes years ago haha. Also, can we leave box brows in 2017, it was never cute.
Is there one article of clothing you absolutely couldn’t live without?
A pretty summer dress.
Do you have any fashion rules when putting an outfit together?
I usually match my shoes to my bag. I avoid horizontal stripes. Also half tucking in your blouse or jumper in the front adds for extra style.
Are there any brands that you think embody your style and image?
Cotton-On is my ultimate brand, H&M though there's heat around them at the moment. And Topshop if it's a great bargain or sale.
Dress: Factorie
Shoes: Jet

Ok! Lets talk beauty.

What do your beauty essentials include?

A cleansing and exfoliating routine. A good primer, foundation and killer lipstick.

Favourite lipstick?
My favourite lip stick for a day to day shade has to be by Mac in the shade Taupe in matte.
Your go to foundation?
My tried and trusted foundation is also a mac product. Studio Fix Fluid is my ultimate favourite. It has a full coverage without the heavy look and feel with a natural skin finish. I do from time to time have breakouts that leave dark marks. This foundation has never let me down!

Best skin care tip/trick?

Have a great skin care routine. Try different products and find out what works best for you. Always remove your make-up and use a great facial wash before going to bed. Use a good moisturizer with a vitamin c supplement that will help with skin renewal. Drink lots And lots of water and get enough sleep.
Your 5 beauty must haves?
My 5 beauty must haves has to be a great primer, I love the Photo Finish by Smashbox. My foundation as mentioned above. Bold mascara, loving the Maybelline Lash Sensational at the moment. A blinding highlight for the glowy look, my all time favourite is the Mac Mineralize Skinfinish in the shade Global Glow. And lastly, a matte lipstick, colour depending on the mood and outfit ofcourse.

Lets get to know you a little better...

The first thing you do in the morning is?
I wake up before my hubster most mornings, after letting my alarm snooze for the third time I usually check my instagram and browse the explore page a good 10 to 15 minutes before hitting the bathroom.
You would never leave home without?
My cellphone
Your guilty pleasure is?
Clothing, a girl can never truly have enough. Men will never understand this.
One person you would love to meet and why?
Samantha Maria, a Uk based blogger. Her pure essence and style is something I've always drawn inspiration from and she is so open and honest which is also quite refreshing especially with the pressure of being perfect on social media. Her style is also so relatable! She's both casual chic and feminine and sexy. A great combination in my opinion.
The last thing you googled was?
Do penguins have knees haha! My husband makes me laugh with the weirdest and funniest topics. Turns out, they do even though they walk like they don't.

Thanks for taking the time to talk to us La'Von! Be sure to follow her on Instagram
