Summer is here and it's sizzling hot ! I love this cap from The Fitted Factory, I think the colour nude has become very trendy and is a winner for any season :)

The "shut up and squat" phone cover was such a steal from Levitech! Phone covers are so in and who doesn't love outfit accessories ?

My plum heels from Solo Shoes were a hot buy ! They are comfy, high and super sexy and again loving this nude life ;)

The clutch bag is super pretty in pink from Solo Shoes! Looks like it's going to be a sexy summer guys!

Tanya Loganathan

Hi, I am Tanya Loganathan a third year Bcom Law student. Being a fashionista is priority especially in my field majoring in Commerce Law I have to ensure my makeup is on point. Recently I have been venturing out a lot and I am in love with the LA Girls Pro Concealers which assists in limiting my makeup cartage. I use them to highlight and conceal and the results are astounding. Do make sure you catchup with me on social media

My favourite items this September would be the stunning pairs of shoes you see below. It’s always so difficult to find attractive yet comfortable footwear and here i have struck gold. These Spoilt Girls shoes have a sturdy heel at the perfect height for regular usage. This particular style of footwear looks equally beautiful on narrow and wider foot types. I needed a shoe that would accommodate various clothing styles , one that is flexible in aesthetic, and here I found it at a reasonable price of R399 from Kingsmead Shoes.
Comfort, flexibility and style at a bargain of a price

SLAY WITH YOUR HAIR. My September spring favorites are all about hair. Giving the fact that I am obsessed with hair I had to kick off my list with the amazing shampoo and conditioner by 'Argan Oil' with Moroccan Argan oil extract. These products have proven to me that I can rock my natural curls, as the shampoo keeps my hair shiny and smooth and the conditioner controls my frizz! But the best part about using both products is that I've seen a noticeable increase in length and thickness in just 3 months of using the shampoo and conditioner.

My second favorite is my GHD V Gold Max Styler! The max size makes straightening my hair quick and easy. And the gold plates give a sophisticated look and feel to the GHD, not to mention every girl loves a little touch of gold in her everyday life!

And for the finishing product, why not add this flower headband to brighten up your hairdo. This timeless piece will give you a fun playful look, perfect for spring!

We had such a great response to the first new product alert post, we decided to make these posts a regular on our blog.

Here's a round up of all the latest products and brands we can't wait to try.

1. Swiitch Beauty

Luxe Sphere Brush from Swiitch Beauty

Swiitch beauty has released a ton of new products and we are absolutely loving it. Some of our favourites include the much anticipated Luxe Sphere brush. This gorgeous brush is designed to flawlessly apply your foundation, concealer, blush or contour product. Not to mention that this luxury blush will also instantly glam up your make up area, infact it looks almost too good to use.

You can get your brush on sale here for just R199. After the sale, it retails for R230. (Still a steal)

On the left is the S09 Curve Sculpting Brush & On the right is the BubbleYum Smooch Lip Scrub

Another brush just released by Swiitch beauty is the S09 Curve Sculpting brush, it's the ultimate contour brush and comes in the hottest colour of the season, rose gold. Perfect to go with your Luxe Sphere Brush.

You can find this brush here for R185.

Lastly, we are obsessing over the Bubble Yum Scrub, this scrub preps and primes your lips, leaving them hydrated and healthy. This scrub seems like a great dupe for Lush's popcorn scrub and will be perfect to prep your lips before applying a matte lipstick. Best part is that its only R49.

You can find it here.

You can keep up with Swiitch beauty's new releases on their Instagram: Swiitchbeauty.

Today is part one of my monochromatic chic series. I'l be sharing my first look from my shoot with Talia Hamid. Collaborating with Talia was an amazing experience, I had a blast working with this gorgeous person. She has an eye for colourful and energetic imagery. Its extremely evident that photography is her calling and she kicks ass at it. Now onto my look.

What better way to get dressed quickly and chicly than in black and white!

In the words of Coco Chanel: "Women think of all colours, except the absence of colour. Black has it all, white too. Their beauty is absolute. It is the perfect harmony."

The simplicity of black and white makes it timeless and classic. Wearing one colour is anything but boring, see how easy (and figure-flattering) it is to pull off a single-hue style.

Working the monochrome look is super simple, there's none of the worry of wearing colours that don't compliment each other. Black and white makes the perfect partnership.

No matter what your personal style is (edgy, sophisticated, chic, etc.) monochrome embodies all. It's the perfect minimalist look which stands out.

The Look: All Black Everything

Let's face it,  black is so easy! Classic, slimming, clean and edgy all at the same time, black is the ultimate colour to wear.

The reason why I've chosen to do a form fitting full black outfit is because it flatters my figure and is a perfect "night out on the town" kinda look.

Believe it or not there's some scientific truth to the old saying "black is slimming." Black outfits absorb light rather than reflect it, so it tends to make it harder to see the wrinkles, lines and shadows that ordinarily form on a persons clothes.

The fit of the clothes play a huge role in how they make you look, which is why I've chosen a fitted pair of cropped ripped jeans paired with a black peplum lace top, as they create a sleeker look. Jeans make the outfit less formal and the rips add texture to the combo.

Note: If you wear a baggy shirt it wouldn't have the same effect.
Studded heels add a bit of bling to the outfit. A pair of heels always give the outfit a more glamorous feel which I love.

My accessories are all silver which compliment the silver studs on my heels. I've chosen to wear big chunky drop earrings to bring the outfit to life with a dash of sparkle.

Black open back lace peplum top: Mr Price
Ripped cropped black high waisted jeans: Mr Price
Peeptoe studded heels: Aldo Shoes
Drop leaf earrings: Woolworths

I absolutely love this look, black is one of my all time favourites and I definitely hope you rock it as well!!!

Describe your style
I’d like to believe that my style is quite versatile, although my intention is to always keep it chic, classy and most importantly – simple!
Which fashion designers and fashion bloggers do you admire?
I absolutely love Melody Molale and I love how fierce Victoria Beckham’s style is. I have recently discovered Jiawa Liu. I love the fact that she is a lawyer and a fashion blogger. She is versatile and does not conform to the expectation that a lawyer should be a certain way or that she should conduct herself in a certain manner - and so her brand resonates with me.
The one item you think completes a look?
A sexy pair of heels!
With warmer months approaching, what's your must-have spring/summer staple?
Definitely a cold shoulder top, a white shirt and a pair of cute skorts.
What’s your favourite trend at the moment?
I love the choker trend - I think it's cute and playful. Oh, and give me an off-the-shoulder top or dress any day!
What is one fashion item you believe every girl should have and why?
I know you said ‘one’, however I believe that every girl’s closet should have the following items: An LBD, a black leather jacket, a crisp white shirt and a pair of indigo blue denim jeans.
Your must have accessory?
Sunglasses
Heels? or Flats?
I prefer heels over flats any day, however when I travel with my daughter I opt for flats.
Whats in your everyday make up bag?
Foundation, foundation sponge, lipstick, lip liners, brow liner, lip balm and mascara.
Favourite lipstick colour?
So Chaud and Ruby Woo – both from Mac.
Favourite places to shop and why?
I love Zara. Not only do they have unique pieces, but as a brand they stand for authenticity too.
Here are a few of Kim's favourite looks

With the year coming to an end, many of us will start preparations for our Matric farewells. Planning the perfect look can be quite a challenge so we have Shannon de Koe on the blog today sharing her Matric farewell look.

Shannon's look can best be described as elegant and timeless. She wanted to keep her look simple and understated.

Shannon looked flawless in a full length dusty pink coloured dress with an embellished bodice and side slit. The dress was custom designed in Cape Town and fit Shannon like a glove. #perfection
Shannon paired this with a matching pair of lace up shoes from Foschini and jewellery from Edgars. She opted for side swept curls and kept her make up natural which resulted in a soft romantic look.

We hoped you loved Shannon's look as much as we did. Tag us in your Prom/Matric prom looks, we would love to see them.

Do follow Shannon on Instagram, She has an ah-mazing feed. Her Insta Handle is _shanidekoe_ (Click Here to check out her feed)
